Melsom Rocks : ウィキペディア英語版 | Melsom Rocks The Melsom Rocks () are a group of isolated rocks lying north of the Despair Rocks and west of Penguin Point, the northwest end of Coronation Island, in the South Orkney Islands off Antarctica. They were first seen and rudely charted by Captain George Powell and Captain Nathaniel Palmer during their joint cruise in December 1821. The rocks were named for Captain H.G. Melsom, manager of the Thule Whaling Company, by Captain Petter Sorlle, who conducted a running survey of the South Orkney Islands in 1912–13.〔 ==References==
